Dining Delight: Beaches and Cream Soda Shop
For the Savory and the Sweet
Posted July 7, 2024
There are so many places I enjoy eating at Disney! Dining Delight posts will highlight individual restaurants with just a teaser, not a full dining review. First up is the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop.
Nestled in the Beach Club Resort is a real gem of a restaurant. I first went here with my family in 2017 while staying at the neighboring Yacht Club. We stopped in for sundaes and adored the whole experience from the tasty selection of desserts to the emphatic “A whole can!” when guests order the kitchen sink sundae. During that trip, I returned to grab a cone at the take out window while the boys napped. This is kind of a big deal for me, because although I like ice cream, I can definitely go without it, but I had to go back and experience it again. It is a cheery place with a fun vibe.
The restaurant is full of Disney touches and has become one of my favorites on property. On my last visit, I ate lunch there and it was so yummy I had to stop myself to save room for dessert. I ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup. The sandwich was the perfect combination of melty cheese and light crispiness of the outer layer of bread. The soup was creamy and ideal for dipping your sandwich in for pure comfort. The SNICKERS Sunday was so yummy and the perfect topping to a wonderful dining experience.
I can’t wait to go back to this delightful dining treasure. I am already thinking about the next dessert to try! Stay tuned for more Dining Delights coming soon!
