On every trip I take to a Disney park I never have time to do all the things. I also never worry about that because I know I will be back. Although I love the rides and shows, it's the food that I always wish I had more time for. There are never enough meals to try all the new things and get to eat my already favorites. One of these favorites may be a surprise, but go with me on a quick service culinary adventure to a corner on Main Street in Magic Kingdom full of nostalgia and deliciousness. I am, of course referring to Casey’s Corner.

This stop on the Dining Delight tour has some controversial menu items, but I love them both. Hot dogs and plastic cheese. I think most are familiar with the hot dog. I won’t take the time here to discuss  whether it is a sandwich or not. Please feel free to send in your thoughts on this, I would love to hear them! I will however take a deeper dive into plastic cheese

Plastic cheese is a sauce. It generally comes in a plastic condiment cup. I do not know its ingredients, but I do know the texture is very pleasing to my palate along with the flavor. It is smooth and perfect for pouring or dipping. I like it both on my hot dog and my fries (and pretzels and popcorn but those are not relevant here.) The flavor is unique in that it doesn’t purely taste like cheddar, Swiss or any identifiable cheese. It is orange perfection.

I am a basic girl when it comes to hot dogs. Cheese is enough of a topping for me; however for the more adventurous, Casey’s has Chili Cheese dogs and mini corn dogs in addition to plant based options. 

The other menu item I adore getting at Casey’s Corner is the Specialty Beverages. They change but are a refreshing treat and compliment the hot dogs and plastic cheese. 

It’s not just the food for me though. I also enjoy the nostalgic baseball stadium ambiance. The unique cast member uniforms and concession stand style counter are charming and always make me smile.
